Live from the road

You are not the only one still standing at load out.

SNDCHK SESH is a shared check-in for touring music professionals. Artists, crew, tour managers, production. Nobody sees your name. Everybody sees they are not alone out here.

Everyone touring is having the same week. Nobody says so.

Every tour has a call sheet, a stage plot, a rider. Every tour has a system for checking the gear before every show. Almost none have a system for checking the people.

SNDCHK SESH started as one person's private practice. It is becoming something bigger. A running, anonymous pulse of how the touring community is actually doing, built from real check-ins across real tours, so the people carrying the show can see they are part of something and not just grinding through it alone.

Your check-in is private. What the community sees is the pattern, not your name. That is the whole point of the board.

Three ways the community shows up

01
The check-in
A private, ongoing line to a real clinician, built around a tour schedule. Your entry also feeds the board, anonymized, so the pattern helps everyone.
Remote
Weekly or as needed
02
The room
A low stimulation space at the venue where the community gathers between soundcheck and doors. Permanent install, pop up, or a van built for the job.
On site
Per show or per run
03
The green room
A standing space for the community to connect between runs. Conversations with people who get it, resources worth having, and the people behind the check-ins finding each other. Not a one time event, always open.
Online + in person
Always open
All access02

Started by one of you

I spent years on the road as a vocalist before I sat behind a desk as a licensed clinician. I know what it is like to give everything to a room full of strangers and then get back on a bus with nobody asking how you actually are.

SNDCHK SESH is the system I wanted back then. Not a hotline for emergencies. A regular check, built into the schedule, the same way soundcheck is. The board is the community version of that same idea, so no one out here has to find out the hard way that everyone else is struggling too.

One message starts it. Tell us about the run and we will build the setup around it, coaching, the room, or a spot on the board.
