Mental health support for touring musicians, crew, and production staff

Artists navigating the psychological weight of visibility, pressure, and sustained performance demand.

Tour managers carrying the operational load of the run and the emotional load of everyone on it.

FOH engineers, lighting designers, and backline techs managing technical precision under constant time pressure.

Production managers and stage managers holding the structure that makes the show possible.

Anyone on the bus who is functioning but quietly running on fumes.

WHO IT’S NOT FOR

This is not crisis care.

This is not emergency response.

This is not a replacement for ongoing psychotherapy.

If you are in immediate danger or experiencing an

emergency, contact local emergency services.

Support works best when it is proactive.

Session pricing and how to get started

SNDCHK SESH is structured mental health support built specifically for artists and crew operating in high-demand live environments.

Individual sessions start at $125. Tour retainers are scoped to your routing and crew size. Every engagement is quoted before anything moves forward. No intake forms. No waitlists. Apply and we'll talk.

Subsidized access is available through the Pay It Forward program, embedded in the retainer model. If cost is a barrier, say so when you apply.

Every engagement is intentional. Clear scope. Clear structure. Pacing that works around your show schedule, not against it.

If it feels aligned, apply to begin the conversation. We'll determine fit and structure before anything moves forward.

HOW IT WORKS

Structured progression, designed for tour life.

  1. Apply – Share where you are in your tour cycle and what support you’re seeking.

  2. Review – Applications are read and responded to personally, with a focus on fit.

  3. Connect – We clarify expectations and structure before support begins.

  4. Engage – Support unfolds based on your schedule with real tools and check-ins built for buses, green rooms, and late nights.

Intentional. Practical. Built for the realities of touring.

Testimonials

SNDCHK SESH was the first time someone understood what touring actually does to your head. Not the glamorous version. The real one. The adrenaline spikes. The crash after the show. The silence on the bus at 2AM. Having someone who has lived it and can help you regulate in real time changed how I move on tour. I was not spiraling between cities anymore. I was grounded.

Artist, national touring act — rock / indie, 200+ date run

I have worked with therapists before but this felt different. It was not clinical. It was practical. It fit into the chaos of advancing shows, settling rooms, and managing personalities. Quick check ins. Tools I could use that day. Support that did not make me feel weak for needing it. It made me sharper not softer.

Tour Manager, Amphitheater Run

I did not realize how fried my nervous system was until I had a space to actually talk. Long drives. Short sleep. Constant pressure. I thought that was just part of the job. SNDCHK SESH gave me language for what I was feeling and tools I could use backstage not weeks later. It helped me show up better for the crew and for myself.

Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at danielrinaldilmhc@gmail.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

No. SNDCHK SESH is structured mental performance and wellness support, not psychotherapy or clinical treatment. Sessions focus on regulation, maintenance, and the specific psychological demands of touring life. If you need ongoing clinical care or are dealing with something that requires a higher level of support, I'll be honest about that and help connect you to the right person.

Within 48 hours. Every application is read personally. If there's fit, we'll schedule a brief call to talk through structure and expectations before anything moves forward. No automated responses. No intake portal. A real conversation.

SNDCHK SESH is not crisis care or emergency response. If you or someone on your team is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services. If you're experiencing a mental health crisis, call or text 988 — the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline — available 24 hours a day. For non-emergency referrals or if you're not sure what level of support you need, reach out and I'll help point you in the right direction.

Yes. All sessions are conducted via secure telehealth. If you have a phone and 20 minutes, we can work. The format was designed specifically for people who are never in the same city two days in a row. Bus, hotel room, green room, airport lounge, parking lot behind the venue. It doesn't matter where you are.

Both. The SESH retainer is built to support the full touring party. Artists, tour managers, FOH engineers, backline techs, lighting designers, production managers, stage managers. Crew burnout is real, it is underserved, and it affects the entire run. The whole team is the client — not just the name on the marquee.

Yes. Sessions are HIPAA-compliant and confidential. For B2B retainers, management, labels, and tour leadership do not receive individual session content. What gets discussed stays between us. If you want more specifics about how confidentiality works within a retainer structure, we can talk through that before anything is signed. Nothing moves forward until you're clear on the terms.

Backline and MusiCares are referral networks and crisis resources. Both are valuable and I refer people to both. SNDCHK SESH is different. It is preventative, direct, and tour-integrated. It is not a directory. It is not a hotline. It is ongoing, structured support built around your specific routing, your specific crew, and the specific psychological demands of live touring. And I have been on the bus. That is not a selling point. It is the foundation of everything here.

Tour is loud and demanding. Support should feel steady and intentional.
